Q: Where is Kinder World located?

A: Kinder World is located at 6565 Belleau Wood Lane, Sacramento, California 95822. This location is off Freeport Blvd, convenient to I-5. We serve families from Pocket, South Land Park, West Sacramento, Greenhaven, South Sacramento, Laguna, Elk Grove and Meadowview. You can get directions from your location here.


If you are looking for financial assistance at Tiny Scholars and Treehouse Learning Center, or River City Early Learning Center you will need to complete the "Financial Assistance Documents" on the Enrollment page.


Q: What is the enrollment process?

A: Please see our enrollment page. You must have all documents necessary before you can begin the enrollment process. Call for an appointment. We are a first come first serve basis.


Q: Is this a preschool, transitional kindergarten, or a child care center?

A: Kinder World is all 3. We are a 12-month, year around preschool and kindergarten educational program with extended daycare.


Q: What ages can attend Kinder World?

A: Children ages 12 months to 5 years, or before they begin kindergarten can attend Kinder World (child must be able to demonstrate the ability to pull themselves up to a kneeling or standing position to attend Kinder World).

Q: How do children qualify for financial assistance?

Q: Can parents enroll children part time?

A: If there are part time spaces available, parents can enroll part days, a few days a week, a few hours a day or for unlimited hours. Kinder World also accommodates families needing drop-in care options.


Q: How long has Kinder World been licensed?
A: Dotty's Day Nursery was founded in 1967 and in 1988 it became Kinder World Daycare.
Q: Are meals included, and are they healthy?
A: Yes, meals are included are are USDA and dietcian approved meals. Kinder World strives to provide a balanced and healthy diet for its children.
Q: Does a child need to be potty trained to attend preschool?
A: No. We work with parents when a child is ready for potty training.
Q: How do children qualify for the state preschool programs?
A: Kinder World offers an all day and 3-hour state preschool sessions. The child must be at least 3 years old by September 1st of that year and never have attended kindergarten. Please see our enrollment page for more information.


Q: How do I apply to teach at Kinder World?
A: Go to the "Apply to Teach" tab on the website and complete the information.
Q: What are the qualifications of the teachers?
A: The Executive Director has a Master’s degree. All teachers have completed early childhood education course work or are currently enrolled in early childhood education courses. They are certified in CPR & First Aid and have passed TB test, background checks, and fingerprints. They also receive training on a regular basis.
Q: Will my child be ready for kindergarten?
A: Kinder World’s childhood education program is designed to prepare your child for kindergarten by placing children in an environment where they will learn to socialize with peers and excel in school.
Q: How is Kinder World related to Tiny Scholars, River City Early Learning Center, and Art Beast Child Care?
A: They are Kinder World's sister schools. Children can attend Kinder World or our sister schools depending on space and availability. Note: If you are enrolling Tiny Scholars, River City Early Learning Center, or Art Beast Child Development Center, you need to fill out their enrollment packet and the Kinder World Financial Assistance Packet.
